package with pretty silver paint on the tips of the bulbs and 5X the price of "standard" halogens. Then there is this straight off their website: "Claims based on measured comparisons between SilverStar and SilverStar Ultra product families at 100% light output and standard halogen bulbs at 80% light output. Actual performance may vary by product use, vehicle model and usage." Do what? When I read that, the impression I get is they are comparing light output between their silverstars at 100% output and standard halogens at 80% output? How is this a fair comparison? Perhaps I'm not getting how this works, but it doesn't matter to me. For the price, I see no reason to keep using halogens which, in my opinion, are inferior to true HID headlight/conversion kits no matter what fancy name, packaging, or other gimmicks companies try to pull.
